Bryan Yerian
Art Department Chair and Gallery Director
Bryan Yerian is a three-dimensional mixed media artist who resides in South Lake Tahoe, CA since 2008.  Bryan’s expertise is in the ceramic, installation, and cast and fabricated metal arts. Bryan received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University in 2008, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts from Humboldt State University in 2003. Bryan Yerian has been a fulltime Professor and Co-Chair of the Art Department at Lake Tahoe Community College since 2008, and in 2021 he became the Chair of the Art Department and Director of campus galleries. He has taught and designed curriculum for a wide range of college level art history, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional art courses.Â
Since 2012 Bryan has focused his efforts on creative outreach within the South Lake Tahoe community by facilitating after-school and summer workshops for elementary and high school aged youths such as ceramics, aluminum casting, and blacksmithing workshops. Bryan is currently the advisor of the Lake Tahoe Community College Art Club and is the director of the LTCC Art Visiting Artist Series. He has served as a board member for the Tahoe Arts Alliance since 2019, and in 2021, he was selected to serve as Vice-Chair of the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Commission for the City of South Lake Tahoe, CA.
In 2019, Bryan and his partner and fellow artist Colleen Sidey opened Compass Clay Studio in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and offer the Tahoe community many creative art outlets within the ceramic medium. Â Compass Clay Studio is a community learning ceramics studio and art gallery specializing in classes and workshops for adults and children.
Bryan continues to exhibit his artwork nationally and enjoys creating large-scale ceramic and mixed media sculptures and installations.
